I know VS Code is widely used, and because of that there are tons of extensions for javascript , and it's really hard to find the right one. But In this article let us see the best extensions for JavaScript.

This is the most important extension because this is the official linter for JavaScript and typescript as well. This analyzes your code to find problems based on a set of pre-configured rules. It is built into most text editors and you can run ESLint as part of your continuous integration pipeline.

To Be frank, this is the only extension that you need for JavaScript because everything feature like linter, bug check, etc. is already in ESLint.

Here are some useful extensions:

  • Prettier - You probably going to need this. If you like to set some rules to make your code clean, I recommend prettier.

To summarize, if you're working with JavaScript. It is recommended to use ESLint Extension. You don't need any extensions unless you're working with frameworks like VueJs then you have to use this Vue Volar Extension Pack.
